Job overview

The directorate is looking for experienced, enthusiastic and motivated nurses who are keen to pursue their career within Critical Care at The Grange University Hospital at Llanfrechfa, Cwmbran. 

Candidates are required to be flexible and reliable in their approach to work. In return the directorate will demonstrate a commitment to both personal and professional development to the successful candidate. 

Main duties of the job

The post primarily involves the individual to act as an experienced Critical Care practitioner, requiring a minimum level of delegation and supervision. The post holder will be expected to contribute to the assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of patient care without direct supervision and in accordance with the NMC Professional Code of Conduct and will also be asked to contribute to the smooth running of the unit through acceptance of agreed additional responsibilities that will include the opportunity to further develop management and organisational skills, and taking charge of the nursing team within the pods. 

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
