Job overview
Are you a motivated enthusiastic and caring person with good communication skills and the ability to organise, and required to work as part of a team in Gwent. To support and assist the Oral Health Promoter/ Oral Health Improvement Practitioner (OHP/OHIP) implementing and monitoring the Oral Health Promotion programmes under the Designed to Smile umbrella under their supervision.
You must be able to travel between sites in a timely manner to meet the requirements of the post.
Main duties of the job
To work as a member of the Oral Health Improvement team conducting delegated tasks related to Oral Health Promotion activities and adopting a community development approach.
To assist the OHP/OHIP staff in the development of departmental resources to support the delivery of the Designed to Smile Oral Health Promotion programme.
This position involves Regulated Activity with children and/or adults as defined by the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act (amended by the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012) and the following checks will be undertaken following any conditional offer -Enhanced check with barred list information including an adults and children’s barred list check.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
