Please be advised that there is a temporary top up for Bands 1,2 and 3 to reflect the incorporation of the top up to the  living wage of £12 per hour - £23,465 per annum. This temporary top up will be in place until  the annual pay uplift for 2024/25 is confirmed

Job overview

To provide a range of administrative, clerical and secretarial support to the borough Senior Nurse and Integrated Services Team Managers for Monmouthshire Primary Care Division.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Main duties of the job

s  To manage the day to day running of the office

s  Processing mail into and out of office

s  Maintain an effective filing system

s  To collate and prepare information and statistics, as and when required

s  To organise and monitor compliance of NMC Registration via a spreadsheet system.

s  Photocopy and distribute documentation to all Wards and District Nursing bases

s  Schedule Ward/Department Manager and District Nursing Team Leader meetings and 1-1 sessions for Senior Nurses

s  Arrange meetings, draw up agenda’s. prepare necessary paperwork and take minutes for the Integrated Service Managers and Senior Nurse – this may involve attending off site meetings in person.

s  Support the organisation of training sessions e.g. set up venues/allocate places on sessions

s  Maintain a ‘bring forward’ and ‘follow up’ system for requests for information to meet deadlines

s  Screen mail and attend to routine matters and inform the Senior Nurse of action taken

s  Word processing, including answering routine letters

s  A good working knowledge of all Microsoft packages

s  To maintain the Senior Nurse diaries

s  To receive, record and action staff absence by drafting health board formatted letters as well as arranging sickness interviews as per ABUHB Policies
