Job overview
Cwm Taf Morgannwg UHB Physiotherapy Service has a rare opportunity for the right person. We are looking for an innovative and self-motivated clinician to provide expert clinical leadership for physiotherapy across paediatric orthopaedic services.
This new and exciting role of Clinical Lead Physiotherapist - Paediatric Orthopaedics will be providing expert assessment and treatment for a variety of paediatric orthopaedic conditions including CTEV and DDH.
The post holder will be in a key position of influence and will require excellent leadership skills; be committed and hard-working; be a good communicator and a team player.
Main duties of the job
Working closely with the T&O Consultant for Paediatrics you will provide expert assessment and treatment to children with a variety of orthopaedic needs. You will input on advancing the departments clinical standards, developing a research portfolio and implementing best practice across paediatric orthopaedic physiotherapy services. You will have a proven track record as a clinical expert in your field; with evidence of an advanced practice portfolio and a high level of clinical competence and leadership qualities.
You will have excellent communication and influencing skills, with experience in supporting education and development of staff. You will hold a caseload of complex patients and provide training, education and clinical supervision. You will act as a role model within the paediatric physiotherapy services across the health board and should demonstrate a high level of integrity. Your role will be focused on driving the development and delivery of high quality, patient-centred clinical pathways across all aspects of children's musculoskeletal and developmental health which will require you to be flexible and present across the CTMUHB footprint.
The post holder will work alongside the Physiotherapy Leadership Team ensuring sustainability and growth of physiotherapy services and to develop plans that reflect safety, quality, effectiveness and efficiency.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
