Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for two enthusiastic and committed Theatre Practitioners to undertake the role of Clinical Lead for Trauma and Orthopaedic within the scrub speciality at Main Theatres, Princess of Wales Hospital. This is a pivotal role in our Theatre Management structure to provide leadership to the team and drive forward innovative service change in partnership with the Multidisciplinary Team.
Both positions are currently advertised as Fixed Term for 12 Months. There will be one Full Time, Permanent position becoming available in the near future.
Main duties of the job
The post holder is expected to be an excellent communicator with good interpersonal skills and a wide knowledge of Trauma and Elective Orthopaedic services. You will work in collaboration with a fellow team leader and dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented individual with inspirational leadership skills and an appetite for developing staff, service redesign and delivery of safe and excellent care. The post holder will work with the senior management team, providing senior advice, support and strategic leadership, along with professional challenges.
You will have had demonstrable success in a management and a clinical role and established your credibility with multiple stakeholders. Most of all, you will be able to motivate and engage others to ensure that the services we provide supports the UHB values, as well as having a pioneering approach that is not afraid to challenge convention and traditional ways of working.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

- Master's Degree, post graduate course in relevant subject or equivalent experience
