Job overview

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Band 5 staff nurses to join our team. Based on the Special Care Baby Unit at Princess of Wales Hospital the successful candidates will have the opportunity to work in the speciality of neonates as part of the nursing team. 

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Main duties of the job

To provide a fully integrated nursing service in the Acute and Community sectors, working in partnership to provide a high quality sustainable service for Neonates and their carers within Cwm Taf Morgannwg Health Board.

The Post Holder will be required to ensure the highest standard of specialist patient care, which reflects the quality of standards and mission of the Health Board, and contribute to the implementation of policies and procedures within the sphere of responsibility.

The Post Holder will be required to carry out a range of assigned tasks involving direct and indirect care for the benefit of babies and their carers in accordance with agreed protocols.  The range of responsibilities will be in support of and supervised by a registered nurse.
