Staff Nurse - Older Persons Mental Health Admissions, Angelton Clinic Ward 2
An excellent opportunity to work on the admissions ward as a registered mental health nurse in Angelton Clinic.
Ward 2 is the in-patient Older Persons Mental Health assessment ward. We provide care for patients with complex mental health illnesses both functional and organic causes including schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, anxiety and dementia. The post holder will have excellent communication skills, positive attitude to working with people with complex mental health needs and work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
Main duties of the job
An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen for a qualified RMN to be appointed in a busy, friendly team where your skills and ideas are valued and your development supported. As a RMN in the team you will be responsible for providing assessment and treatment for older persons experiencing Mental Health problems.
If you would like to be part of the team you will need to demonstrate an understanding of this service user group, and have a genuine interest and enthusiasm for caring for older people with dementia/Mental Health. It would be advantageous to have an understanding and knowledge of the therapeutic approaches that work in such a setting.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable but not necessary for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
