The Facilities Department are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced Receptionist to join our team at Arrowe Park Hospital who enjoys working as part of a team and can demonstrate a commitment to delivering an effective, high quality administrative support service. 

A key element of this role is to provide an administrative service across all Facilities operational service models to support the smooth running of a large multidisciplinary department.

The candidate will be expected to have excellent communication and customer service skills, with a professional and proactive attitude with previous experience of working in a busy, demanding administration environment is essential.

Monday-Friday 37.5 Hours per week.

  • To respond to telephone enquiries, taking messages and transferring and escalating calls when necessary. 
  • Filing correspondence and other documentation.
  • Maintaining the current and archive filing systems, including paper and electronic systems.
  • Photocopying, scanning and collation of documents.
  • Use appropriate computer based systems to enter patient or staff information and maintain databases. 
  • Follow office procedures and practices relating to administrative duties. 
  • Monitor and maintain appropriate levels of stock and order as and when necessary, highlighting any potential problems in good time. 
  • Dealing with enquiries in a pleasant and helpful manner, communicating relevant information to stakeholders and referring to others as appropriate. 
  • Promote the image of the department, checking that notices and leaflets are up to date and well presented. 
  • Word processing documents, letters, e-mails and reports to a high standard.

  • 5 GCSE’s including maths and English or NVQ Level 2 in administration.
  • Previous experience working in an administration role.
