We are looking for an enthusiastic, clinically focused Medical Microbiologist to join the existing Microbiology team of three consultants. This post is to cover primarily Southport and Ormskirk hospitals. Agile working will be considered.

The post shall be subject to health clearance by health work and wellbeing department and DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service, formally CRB) checks.
Applicants are required to be fully registered with the General Medical Council at the time of appointment.
Main duties of the job
The appointee will, together with the three other Consultant Microbiologist colleagues, be responsible for the provision of a comprehensive, efficient, and cost-effective Clinical Microbiology and Infection Prevention and Control Service to both the Trusts and other users of the service including Public Health England.
