Working for our organisation

The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre is one of the largest networked cancer centres in the UK providing specialist cancer care to a population of 2.4m in Merseyside, Cheshire, the North West and the Isle of Man.

We combine high quality clinical services, research, and academic excellence to develop innovative drugs and therapies, whilst providing the very highest quality, specialist care for patients.

In June 2020, the Trust moved its main site to the brand new eleven floor Specialist Cancer Centre in the heart of Liverpool.  The new cancer hospital provides highly specialised cancer care for patients with solid tumour and haematological malignancies. We have a unique multi-site care model consisting of three main sites, four systemic therapy sites and 15 outpatient centres. Our clinical model also includes the provision of chemotherapy in the home and workplace. Although the new Central Liverpool hospital is our main base, we also provide outpatient services at our site on the Wirral peninsula (South) and at our site on the Aintree Hospital campus (North West Liverpool).

A staffing model of 1,650 employees support delivery of >71,000-day case Systemic Anti-Cancer Treatments (SACT) and over 150,000 outpatient clinic appointments. Radiotherapy is delivered in three sites, CCC-Liverpool, CCC-Wirral, and CCC-Aintree with a modern equipment portfolio across the sites.
