1-To be responsible for providing specialist assessment and treatment of patients ensuring appropriate pathways of care and communications via liaison and referral to other agencies as required.2. To manage and provide effective leadership of therapy staff.
3. To manage and develop physiotherapy input to provide optimal patient care ensuring high standards of clinical practice.

Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust was created on 1 October 2019 following the merger of two adult acute Trusts, Aintree University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals NHS Trust.
The merger provides an opportunity to reconfigure services in a way that provides the best healthcare services to the city and improves the quality of care and health outcomes that patients experience.

There are excellent leadership and development opportunities since this team has a strong focus on the support of physiotherapy student placements. There are many opportunities to educate and develop colleagues from various professions. The service is continuously developing, and you will have the opportunity to contribute to this service development. You will also have the opportunity to engage in senior meetings with support from the Surgical Therapy Lead and contribute to continuously improving culture within the team.

- B.Sc. in Physiotherapy or Grad.Diploma in Physiotherapy
- Current registration with Health and Care Professions Council
- Documented evidence of CPD

- Attended Practice Placement Educators course
Experience

- Demonstrable post registration experience
- Demonstrable broad based experience at in all musculoskeletal areas: outpatients / orthopaedic inpatients / rheumatology /neurology
- Experience in supervision and training of juniors, assistants and students.
- ▪ Specific experience of management of acute trauma with inpatient setting.
