An exciting opportunity in Trauma and Orthopaedics team for a static  band 7 therapy lead Physiotherapist. You will support junior colleagues and assist them in problem solving within the service on a day to day basis
As a skilled physiotherapist with practical problem-solving skills, and sound clinical reasoning skills. An effective team player with excellent organisational and communication skills to work in a busy acute hospital.  You will be working within an integrated therapy team of Physiotherapists, OT’s, Assistant Practitioners and Therapy Assistants, providing a 7 day service. With a focus on early intervention, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills in the assessment, management and rehabilitation of all types of orthopaedic trauma including fractured neck of femurs, rib fractures, limb reconstruction and complex open fractures to name a few. You will also work closely with the Rehab at Home team who provide ongoing rehabilitation in the community.

3. To manage and develop physiotherapy input to provide optimal patient care ensuring high standards of clinical practice.

You will also have the opportunity to engage in senior meetings with support from the Surgical Therapy Lead and contribute to continuously improving culture within the team.

  • Documented evidence of CPD

Experience

  • Demonstrable post registration experience
  • Demonstrable broad based experience at in all musculoskeletal areas: outpatients / orthopaedic inpatients / rheumatology /neurology
  • Experience in supervision and training of juniors, assistants and students.
  • ▪ Specific experience of management of acute trauma with inpatient setting.
