Job overview

We are seeking a confident, competent and person centred  Nurse possessing effective clinical leadership and communication skills, who is dynamic and enthusiastic, committed to the provision of high quality care and treatment and who enjoy the challenge of working within complex environments.

The successful candidate will be expected to act as a role model to junior staff, assist the ward manager with managerial duties and to have clinical and professional responsibility for the co-ordination and safe running of the ward.

We are looking for a dynamic, highly motivated and enthusiastic nurse to join our team, providing leadership and high quality nursing care within Renal medicine.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, team working skills and will be dedicated to improving the patients experience.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

You will support the ward manager  to lead, provide and supervise a very high standard of compassionate care to our patients. You will be supporting the safety and quality agenda of patient care and staff management , ensuring that the values and objectives of the Trust are met, whilst improving patient outcomes.

You will support the journey of the patient from admission to discharge, identify risk and formulate actions to reduce this risk and ensure patient throughput is effective.

You will display excellent leadership and effective communication skills and able to demonstrate a proactive, collaborative and innovative approach to the clinical environment and passionate about excellence in patient care.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Registered Nurse, current NMC registration
  • Teaching and assessing qualification or equivalent
  • Post registration qualification in speciality
Desirable criteria
  • 1st level degree

Experience
