The Cheshire and Merseyside Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) screening programme are recruiting an operational Service Co-ordinator. This is an exciting role as the service is expanding and you will be joining a friendly, established team. Working with the programme manager and wider vascular team you will ensure that the service meets and achieves national performance indicators and screening standards. The role will involve day to day operational management, contributing to the management of administrative processes and direct line management of the administration/ clerical team.

The main duties of this role will be
- Operational leadership and line management.
- Assist with Annual/ Monthly Reports
- Work with the improving screening uptake officer to implement any changes to service delivery.
- Engage and negotiate with partner organisations/stakeholders about service development and improvement
- Embrace a culture of continuous service improvement
- Lead on specialist admin project work
- Assist the programme manager to meet the programmes RTT targets
- Lead on a communications strategy for the Cheshire and Merseyside AAA screening programme

Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust was created on 1 October 2019 following the merger of two adult acute Trusts, Aintree University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals NHS Trust.

- Operational leadership and line management of the admin service manager and admin/ clerical team.
- Assist with the line management of the clinical team leader and screening technicians
- To manage on a day-to-day basis the operational issues within the programme in relation to delivery of services, reporting, and problem solving.
- Lead on the development of a communications strategy for the AAA screening programme to raise awareness of screening and engagement with underserved population groups in the Cheshire and Merseyside area.
- Assist the programme manager and clinical director with monthly/ quarterly/ annual reports
- Undertake and implement all administration audits to gauge performance and formulate service improvement plans.
- Work with the improving screening uptake officer to increase awareness of AAA screening.
- Engage and negotiate with partner organisations/stakeholders about service development and improvement to ensure a quality service.
- Ensure a culture of continuous service improvement by providing operational leadership in response to service needs and patient feedback.
- Support the improving screening uptake officer to evidence, implement, and evaluate any service delivery changes to increase screening uptake.
- Lead on specialist admin project work, as and when required
- Provide leadership and direction to the teams work to provide optimal service delivery.

- Degree or equivalent experience

- Management Qualification
- ECDL or relevant experience
Experience

- Demonstrable NHS Management Experience
- Use of an NHS Patient Administration System
- Ability to work & communicate with a range of internal and external professionals
- Staff management skills
- Competence in use of Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel
- High level ability for use of initiative and decision making
- Ability to work to under intense pressure, run multiple tasks at the same time, deal with interruptions, and work to deadlines
- Ability to plan own work load and use own initiative with limited support.
- Understands the NHS and an Acute Trust environment and the obstacles in achieving Trust priorities
