We have an exciting opportunity to recruit a Diagnostic Coordinator to support our Neurophysiology administration in the coordination and booking of appointments. The post holder is required to have an in-depth knowledge of the PAS and able to work with minimum supervision, The applicant must have a motivated approach to work and ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team. They will be expected to organise and prioritise their own workload on a daily basis to ensure that time deadlines are met and that urgent work is accommodated.
Main duties of the job
To provide an efficient and effective centralised booking service for outpatient appointments, day cases and pre-op assessment to patients. To receive and respond to booking requests both from within the hospital and from external Trusts

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent.
- ECDL certificate or equivalent
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
Desirable criteria
- Audio typing
Knowledge & Experience
Essential criteria
- Appropriate experience in an acute NHS Trust.
- Knowledge of Hospital Procedures
- Knowledge of NHS appointment booking systems
- Experienced PAS user
Desirable criteria
- Previous experience of working within the specialty of Diagnostics
- Experience of working in an appointment booking centre
- Knowledge of Patient Access targets.

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
