Deputy Chief Operating Officer (Corporate and Unplanned care)

NHS AfC: Band 9

Trosolwg o'r swydd

An exciting opportunity has arisen in Greater Manchester Mental Health Trust for a deputy chief operating officer (corporate/unplanned care services).  Due to the recent promotion of the current deputy COO, we are looking for some one who is looking for development who may be aspiring for executive positions in the future.  Ideally we would be looking for someone with recent experience of working in mental health services, however we will be looking for strong applicants who can work across health and social care services and systems to support the Chief Operating Officer and deputise in their absence.  The post covers all corporate unplanned care services across GM working closely with our clinical divisions.  The deputy COO will lead on crisis, patient flow, supporting delivery of delivering safe mental health services closer to service users homes and in the least restrictive way.  Experience in patient flow, complex discharge, crisis lines would be an advantage as well as multi agency working with stakeholders including integrated care systems, place, ambulance services and the police but not essential.

Based at Trust Headquarter at Prestwich the deputy COO will be a key part of the Trusts senior operational leadership team and will also take part on the on call rotas for the Trust.   Enquiries are encouraged and can be made through contacting Nicole Hutton on [email protected]
