Job overview

We are looking for a highly motivated Health Care assistant with a minimum of three years experience, who will join us on our 17 bedded Orthopaedic recovery unit – Ward B3.   The successful applicant will be expected to work to our high standards of patient care and service delivery.  We provide a comprehensive training package in a supporting and welcoming environment.

Our multidisciplinary team, deliver care for patients who are undergoing joint replacement surgery, such as hip replacements, knee replacements, shoulder surgery and spinal surgery.  In addition, we can also care for some day case patients who may need a hospital stay overnight.

Main duties of the job

Includes usual band 3 tasks of  completing comprehensive documentation, being a role model and supervising band 2 junior Health care assistants to Trust standards and expectations and adhering to fluid & Hydration, pressure reliving care, falls and MUST policies amongst others.
