Job overview
This is a fabulous opportunity to step into a Operational management role for Stockport mental health support team (MHST). You will work in partnership with other service leads/ Manager and other Operational Leads, and will further develop the partnership working that is currently taking place between education, the local authority and the Integrated care board (ICB).
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work closely with other team members from a variety of clinical and service backgrounds to provide a psychological perspective to cases as well as ensuring the effective delivery of the Mental Health in Schools project.
Working for our organisation
The post holder will oversee the delivery and evaluation of the MHST primary/ secondary schools and colleges across the footprint of Stockport or Tameside . The post holder will work as a specialist member of the clinical multi-disciplinary team in providing the highest quality clinical care and treatment for young people, their families and/or carers within the schools project in Stockport

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- • Relevant professional qualification in mental health- RMN, or SW- relevant core professional health based qualification or equivalent experience which requires professional registration with the HCPC or NMC or other professional body
Desirable criteria
- Pre-qualification training and qualifications in research methodology
- staff training and/or other fields of child and adolescent mental health.
- Masters level education or equivalent experience
- Qualification in Cognitive behavioural therapy post grad diploma and accreditation
Experience
Essential criteria
- • Managing or leading projects/specific pieces of work in an NHS or Educational setting
- Managing projects within Children and Young Peoples Mental Health
- • Experience of change management
- • Experience of analysing, evaluating and implementing change which results in service improvement
- • Experience of clinically working within Children and young people’s services
- • Experience of managing and reporting risks
- • Experience of operational management and service delivery
- • Experience of working with cross sector partners
- • Experience of delivering clinical supervision with an understanding of CBT modality

- • Experience of teaching, training and/or supervision.

Knowledge
Essential criteria
- • Extensive knowledge of legislation in relation to the client group and mental health.
- • Must demonstrate knowledge of the evidence base in their practice

- • Must demonstrate a working understanding of systemic, psychodynamic and cognitive theories along with recognition of when each approach is appropriate.
- • Must demonstrate knowledge of audit and evaluation methodology.
- • Must demonstrate an understanding of current government initiatives underpinning service developments. Must demonstrate strong organisational skills.
- • Must be able to demonstrate the ability to manage aspects of service development in line with government initiatives.
- • Knowledge of the theory and practice of specialised therapies in specific difficult to treat groups
