Health Care Assistant - Renal Haemodialysis

Salford Royal Foundation Trust is a high performing organisation looking to deliver safe, clean and personal care to the highest standards.

We have an exciting opportunity for  Band 3 Health Care Assistants with an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification to join the team at Salford Renal Unit.  

Unfortunately, this role does not meet the criteria required to qualify for sponsorship.

Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd

As part of the Renal Managed Clinical Network for the West of Greater Manchester, we have Haemodialysis services based at Salford Care Organisation, Bolton Kidney Care Centre and Wigan Kidney Care Centre.  

You will need to demonstrate an understanding of caring for patients with complex long term conditions and a clear commitment to providing high quality care.

A team player and willing to learn in this area of nursing, you will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

In return, we can provide you with excellent renal specific education and Haemodialysis competency training in a supportive environment with excellent opportunities for professional development in this highly specialist area.

If you are highly motivated, enthusiastic and want a new challenge, we would be delighted to hear from you.

Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 in Healthcare or a Level 3 Senior Healthcare Support Worker Apprenticeship - or equivalent experience
  • Level 1 Literacy and Numeracy (GCSE English and Maths Grade D-G)
  • Care Certificate

Knowledge, Training & Experience

  • Experience of working as a Care Support Worker or equivalent in a Health or Social care setting
  • Experience of working within a team

  • Experience of working on a haemodialysis Unit
  • Demonstrates an interest or previous experience in supporting other health care staff and learners
  • Commitment to undertaking continuous professional development (CPD)
