If you would like to join a progressive, successful organisation, which has been highlighted as a Trust with an excellent track record in nursing care and is leading the way for hospitals across the country, we would like to hear from you.

Main duties of the job

You will need to have a proven record of experience in managing complex patients and development within a team, whilst displaying excellent leadership qualities and supporting more junior staff within the ward area to develop clinical skills.

We are also looking for nurses with experience of managing a team where change has been implemented to improve patient experience. Band 6 experience is desirable but not essential. Applicant must be haemodialysis competent.

As a Band 6 Nurse Practitioner on Salford Renal Unit,  you will work together with the other Band 6 nurses to support the Unit Manager to deliver excellent care to our patients.

Time spent in the Renal Unit Short Stay will provide opportunity for training in chemotherapy, post op care and nurse led discharge. Venepuncture, cannulation and blood cultures competencies will also be completed.
