Medicines Management Assistant - Community

Due to investment, an exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Salford community services pharmacy team as a Medicines Management Assistant, supporting medicines management in Care Homes. Working alongside our pharmacists and technicians, you will play a key role in reducing medicine waste, replenishing medicines, and supporting Care Home staff to safely handle medicines. This is an ideal opportunity to develop your knowledge and experience as part of our dynamic and diverse pharmacy team, whilst helping shape a new innovative community role. You’ll receive all the training needed, including completion of relevant qualifications where necessary. You will have regular time in the acute in-patient pharmacy department to support development and be part of the wider pharmacy team. You will be required to travel between locations and visit Care Homes, therefore require access to transport.

Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd

  • To order medicines as part of the pharmacy care homes team.
  • To support the technicians and pharmacists with resident’s own drug checks to ensure timely access to medicines, reducing missed doses and waste.
  • To support staff in storing medicines appropriately as per CQC requirements.
  • Help gather audit data to demonstrate improvements.
  • To dispense medication for inpatients, outpatients, and discharges as part of the in-patient pharmacy service

  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Pharmacy Services or a minimum of 4 GCSEs at Grade C or above 2 of which must include Maths and English.
