Job overview
Working in a busy CAMHS department answering telephone queries and reception duties, and welcoming patients daily
Main duties of the job
Photocopying, scanning, printing, sending out letters, deal with incoming post, reception meeting and greeting and answering telephone queries
Working for our organisation
We are a busy CAMHS department that covers the Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale footprint. No two days are the same. We accept referrals from schools and GP's.
We have free parking and a great canteen which is open for breakfast and lunch.
Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The main duties are working with another B2, answering the telephone, typing letters and spell checking them before printing and sending out. Scan and copy documents and upload to our electronic system Paris. Dealing with incoming post, speaking to other services i.e GP's, A&E and Urgent Care Centre along with clinical staff and Consultants here at CAMHS. Reception duties include meeting and greeting patients and their parents/carer's, signing them in and letting clinical staff know that their appointment has arrived.

- Qualifications or experience to NVQ II level.
- Highly Motivated

- Experience within a health/social care setting.
- Effective communication (verbal and written)
- • Skills in order to communicate with all levels of the organisation.
- Able to handle sensitive information with utmost discretion.
- Good interpersonal skills in order to liaise effectively with people at all levels
- Able to work to deadlines and under pressure
- Able to work on own initiative without close supervision.
- Capable of prioritising and organising own workload
- Able to work as a member of a team.
- Excellent organisational skills
- Good time management.
- Use of a car or access to a means of mobility to travel across the Trust footprint in line with service needs
- Willing to carry out all duties and responsibilities of the post in accordance with the Trust’s Equal Opportunities and Equality and Diversity policies
- Appointments to regulated and controlled activities require an enhanced DBS disclosure.
Desirable criteria
- NHS Experience
- ECDL
- Ability to demonstrate effective utilisation of resources
- Previous experience within mental health teams
- understanding of child and adolescent mental health issues
Applicant requirements
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
