Job overview
As a team player you will be responsible for providing a full secretarial service within the Oldham Outpatient Team. The post holder will be required to use computerised systems such as; Bighand and Dragon digital dictation systems, Paris, Microsoft Suite and Tableau.
Main duties of the job
Responsibilities to perform alongside other Medical Secretaries covering Adult, Older People Outpatients including Memory, and Learning Disabilities. Duties of the role are to provide secretarial assistance to Psychiatric Doctors to ensure administrative tasks are completed to agreed timelines.

You will be required to work to a high standard of accuracy, have excellent organisational skills and be able to demonstrate initiative in planning your own workload in a way that supports the Consultants and the Clinical Teams to manage daily operational tasks and processes.

- Willing to undertake training required to carry out the job.
- Use of a car or access to a means of mobility to travel across the Trust footprint in line with service needs
- Willing to carry out all duties and responsibilities of the post in accordance with the Trust’s Equal Opportunities and Equality and Diversity policies
- Appointments to regulated and controlled activities require an enhanced DBS disclosure.

Educaton / Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Educated to GCSE Level or equivalent
- ECDL training or equivalent AMSPAR qualification
- NVQ 4 Level qualification or equivalent experience

- Audio typing of qualification
Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience of dealing with complex inquiries that require further investigation and identification of a resolution
- Experience of using information technology, including word, excel and power point.
- Previous experience in managing own workload and able to prioritise effectively.
- Experience of liaising effectively with a range of agencies, clinical and non-clinical.
- Knowledge or Experience of the departmental service
