Applications are invited for established respiratory consultants or those due to CCT in August 24. It is a 10 PA Consultant Respiratory Physician at the Royal Oldham hospital which is part of the Northern care alliance hospital trust

The post is designed to enhance the care of patients with respiratory diseases in Oldham, therefore the newly appointed Physician will be required to work with an established team of Consultant Respiratory Physicians to maintain and improve the hospital and community-based service for patients with chest diseases within the population served by the Northern Care Alliance.
It is expected that the post holder will contribute to the leadership, delivery, and development of respiratory services. There is a degree of flexibility in this role in relation to specialist interest although an interest in Long COVID, Asthma, interstitial lung disease or Sleep Medicine would be favorable.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide respiratory services within the Royal Oldham Hospital and the surrounding community together with the existing post-holders, including supporting 2 Respiratory wards. The successful candidate will provide clinical sessions in Respiratory Medicine and on call services for general medicine. This post aims to support the ongoing innovative and developing respiratory services, including Long Covid, acute care, virtual respiratory wards and integrated services into community and primary care.

Essential criteria
- Inclusion on the Specialist Register / Admission to the Register within 6 months of interview
- Full registration with the General Medical Council

- To be recognised as Clinical and Educational Supervisor as defined by the GMC Trainer Standards
Qualifications and Training

- Holds MRCP (UK) or equivalent
