Highly Specialist Dietitian - Gastroenterology

Job overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic dietitian with some general experience in acute work  to join our team and contribute to the service provided to our gastroenterology  patients. Alongside the advanced clinical lead dietitian you will be responsible for managing an inpatient caseload of patients with IBD, Liver disease and other gastro conditions requiring Enteral, Parenteral and Oral Nutritional support, and also undertake an outpatient clinic.    Experience in gastroenterology and FODMAP training  is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.

 

 

Main duties of the job

Provision of the  dietetic service to the gastroenterology ward. 

Undertake a weekly outpatient clinic either virtually or face to face 

Attendance at MDT meetings as required

Contributing to the service provided to patients receiving parenteral nutrition across the hospital on all wards

Participating in regular  education of  medical and nursing staff

Contribute to audit and policy development

Training of student dietitians on placements 1, 2 and 3
