The Adult Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Service provides assessment and treatment of patients with musculoskeletal/orthopaedic problems including back, neck and shoulder pain, soft tissue injuries, arthritic problems, headaches and dizziness. Treatments include manual therapy such as joint mobilisations, individual exercise programmes, exercises classes, posture correction and ergonomic advice.
The Adult MSK physiotherapy team are an innovative team who pride themselves on development of staff through their MSK career with a robust supervision and training package. Whilst also ensuring a healthy work life balance with a focus on well being.
Main duties of the job
To perform specialist assessment and treatment of patients with musculoskeletal conditions; determine a clinical diagnosis; develop, implement, evaluate and modify individualised treatment programmes; and ensure appropriate pathways of care and communication via liaison and referral to other agencies as required. The patient will present with acute or chronic conditions, some of which may be complex.

Essential criteria
- HCPC Member
- BSc / MSc Physiotherapy
- Post graduate training relevant to speciality
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Essential criteria
- Significant post registration NHS experience including experience at Band 5 level, or above, within MSK speciality
- Evidence of wide clinical theoretical knowledge base and a specialist knowledge in assessment and treatment of MSK patients
- Knowledge of National Guidelines / Standards pertinent to the MSK pathway
- Experience of working as part of a multi-disciplinary team within MSK
- Evidence of supervising other staff and students

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
