An exciting opportunity has arisen within Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust/Manchester Royal Eye Hospital for a fellowship in Medical Education. This full-time fellowship is being offered on a 12-month fixed term basis. The post is designed to allow ophthalmology specialist trainees (ST2+) and middle grade ophthalmologists, who wish to develop skills in medical education and teaching, to undertake a formal period of training, complete a higher qualification in medical education and gain experience by contributing to the organisation and delivery of the University of Manchester undergraduate year 4 ophthalmology clinical placements and post-graduate teaching across the North Western Deanery. The fellow will be based at Manchester Royal Eye Hospital. The post will offer clinical sessions to allow the successful candidate opportunities to keep up to date. On-call sessions out-of-hours will also be expected.
The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic individual that works to the highest standards, is able to think autonomously and be part of a multidisciplinary team.
