Job overview

The Team Administrator will be responsible for receiving, processing, scanning and forwarding of referrals.  

Typing of medical and other correspondence, including taking minutes of the MDT meetings and other meetings  

Management of the CPA forward planner to ensure all CPA appointments are booked within the agreed timeframe.

 

 

Main duties of the job

Undertake audio and clerical duties for clinical staff, including minute taking as required, clinical letters, reports discharge correspondence and clinical activity data inputting. This may include administrative support relating to consultant tutorial work. Provide first point of contact for written and telephone enquiries on behalf of your consultants, using judgement to establish validity and priority of the contact.   

Responsible for receiving, processing, scanning and forwarding of referrals.  Booking of assessments, monitoring and tracking of duty referrals into the team.  

Management of the CPA forward planner to ensure all CPA appointments are booked within the agreed timeframe.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

The Clinical Team Administrator will undertake general office duties including the typing of medical and other correspondence, including taking minutes of the MDT meetings and other meetings as delegated by the Senior Administrator and actioning any requirements identified within the meetings.

The Team Administrator will be responsible for receiving, processing, scanning and forwarding of referrals.  

Management of the CPA forward planner to ensure all CPA appointments are booked within the agreed timeframe.

Ability to prioritise workload.

Liaise with General Practitioner regarding clinic and domiciliary visits. Liaise with outside agencies, including Social Services, Coroner’s office, other hospitals, general and geriatric, medical services, clients, and their relatives using their knowledge and judgement of any given situation.  Ensure all discharge and summaries are agreed within timeframes.
