Community Paediatric Consultant

NHS Medical & Dental: Consultant

Trosolwg o'r swydd

Full Time 10PAs

We are recruiting a Consultant Community Paediatrician to join a dynamic, community paediatric team in Rochdale Care Organisation. This is an exciting time to work in a very diverse region where service development and innovation are priorities for health service commissioners and providers.

About us

The HMR Community Paediatric Service (CPS) is a Consultant Paediatrician led service focusing on developmental paediatrics, neuro-disabilities, and complex needs. The service also has statutory responsibilities including undertaking and facilitating initial health assessments for Looked after Children (LAC) and statutory Special Educational Needs.

The service is based at Callaghan House. Referrals to the service are accepted from all professionals including GP’s, Allied Health Professionals (AHPs), Health Visitors (HV’s), School Health Practitioners (SHPs), Special Educational Needs Coordinators (SENCos) and other local authority professionals (the list is not exhaustive).

Within the CPS, much of the work is multi-disciplinary and multi-agency, and there are numerous interdependencies with other services in the Local Authority and in health including Physiotherapists, Speech and Language Therapy,  Occupational Therapists, Audiology & Orthotics, enabling a team assessment. There is a clear and robust pathway for a team assessment for the child with neurodevelopmental concerns ensuring early intervention and planned health care, promoting the public health agenda.
