Stockport Foundation Trust is one of four ‘specialist’ hospital sites in Greater Manchester. Being a ‘specialist’ hospital will enhance our general surgery, anaesthetics, critical care and emergency medicine for the benefit of people in Stockport, High Peak, Cheshire and across Greater Manchester.

There is a fantastic opportunity for the right individual to join the Finance Team at Stockport NHS Foundation Trust on a secondment or fixed term contract to cover maternity leave for 12 months.

Main duties of the job
Reporting to the Senior Divisional Accountant, the Divisional Accountant role will be an integral part of SNHSFT.
To lead and be responsible for the provision of an expert financial management service to a specified division. To lead and be responsible for the monthly reporting for the nominated areas, including the production of high quality information, cost and income analysis, forecasting and the presentation of this information.
To support the members of the finance team alongside relevant internal and external stakeholders in the discharge of their financial responsibilities; including maintaining a balanced budgetary position, development and reporting of any savings for the Stockport Trust Efficiency Programme (STEP) and the financial modelling of service developments.
