We have an exciting opportunity in te community mental health team Bury for a clinical ead to join our team.
Some of the role will involve:
providing clinical leadership, support and supervision to clinical staff.
To support an identified team of practitioners with advice and guidance
on the management of complex clinical case.
To work as an integral part of the CMHT which will include carrying a
small complex caseload.
To participate in the extended working hours as required by the needs
of the service
To provide clinical leadership and structured clinical supervision to the
team.
Maintain consistency and quality of care for all service
users under the care of the CMHT and support effective
and timely discharge to Primary Care
Support safe ,efficient and effective high quality transitions in and
out of the CMHT
Ensure the team works in a collaborative manner with
other PCFT services, primary care and other partners
Support the team in delivering recovery focused mental healthcare
support the team in delivering on the physical healthcare agenda

Managerial
provide case management supervision to the staff team , promoting stepping down services to care support and the timely discharge back to Primary Care
To analyse, validate and minimize any internal pathway blockages such as Care Co-coordinator & Psychology waiting lists.
To be an effective decision-making and clinical resource to support the Team manager in the selections and recruitment of staff, and to develop and promote strategies aimed at staff retention
To support the Team manager to complete appraisals for relevant allocated staff within the team.
To support the team in developing and building effective communication with all other services.
To take appropriate action with regard to complaints and reportable incidents within the service as directed by the Team Manager.
To contribute to the implementation of local and national objectives.

To provide guidance and support to clinical staff in the management of complex cases.
To provide guidance and support and have oversight of funding applications for funded placements for service users.

- Diploma in a professional qualification or equivalent experience.
- Evidence of post registration additional training

- Significant experience of leadership and proven track record of managing groups of staff and/or teams
- Successful management and control of substantial and complex resources
- Evidence of improving service quality
- Successful track record of prompting, leading and implementing change programmes that drive up standards and service performance
- History of holding responsibility and accountability for clinical decisions and empowering clinicians to make difficult clinical decisions
- Evidence of high levels of competence with written documentation
- Evidence of achieving high standards regarding CPA documentation
- Evidence of building and maintaining effective relationships

- Personal Experience of mental health or experience through caring
- Proven track record of successful strategic thinking
- Experience of leading on audit and/or research activity related to clinical practice
