What We’re All About:

Our vibrant 24-bedded unit is dedicated to getting patients home safely and swiftly. With a cozy discharge lounge for patients awaiting their journey home, we focus on preventing de-conditioning and minimizing hospital stays.

Your Role:

As a key member of our team, you’ll help craft personalized discharge plans, ensuring each patient is out of bed, washed, dressed, and ready to embrace their day. Your enthusiasm will shine through as you engage patients in fun, uplifting activities like arts & crafts, card games, and even strolls outside, all designed to promote independence and well-being.

Main duties of the job

- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care programs under the guidance of senior staff.

- Supervise and support unqualified staff while working independently.

- Bring your creativity and compassion to enhance the patient experience!

In this dynamic role, your ability to communicate effectively with patients, carers, and families will be the cornerstone of fostering strong therapeutic relationships and delivering compassionate support. By creating a warm and empowering environment, you’ll help pave the way for meaningful connections that enhance patient experiences.

You’ll dive deep into your speciality, combining practical skills with a solid theoretical foundation. Your responsibilities will include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care—adapting strategies as needed to ensure optimal outcomes. This vacancy is open to those who have a current NMC PIN to practice as an Registered Nurse or Midwife in the UK, or those who are currently enrolled on a course which means they expect to receive their full NMC PIN within the next 3 months. Please note an NMC PRN PIN is not a full NMC PIN and would not fulfil the essential criteria for this role.

The NCA can no longer accept applications from International Nurses and Midwives who are yet to complete all competencies needed to receive a full NMC PIN to practice in the UK as we have paused our OSCE programme indefinitely.
