Detailed job description and main responsibilities

The post will include direct 1:1 and group work with service users, but also substantial amounts of team formulation work, completion of risk assessments, provision of support and supervision of staff, service development work, work with carers, and collaboration and consultation with other members of the multi-disciplinary team. The postholder will also be responsible for the supervision of an Assistant Psychologist.

HCPC Registered Clinical, Counselling or Forensic Psychologist

Desirable criteria

Evidence of post-qualification additional training in a therapeutic modality

Experience

Experience of working with individuals with severe and enduring mental health problems

Experience of working in an inpatient/rehabilitation setting
