Job overview
Lead on the planning, development and implementation of SNOMED CT
classifications & terminology functions across the trust, to analyse and
transform encoded healthcare data, ensuring successful delivery of the Trust strategic Digital objectives.
Ensure SNOMED CT optimum potential and ultimately deliver an improved
quality and quantity of coded data across the provider, including outpatients, inpatients and day case activity.
Ensure alignment of SNOMED CT classifications & terminology functions to all national and local mandatory classifications & terminology standards and rules ensuring that the functions deliver a clean and structured output of data accurately representing all of the healthcare activity.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Specialist knowledge of a range of Digital areas acquired through qualification to masters level or relevant experience
- BCS Foundation Certificate in User Experience
- Prince 2 or certification in a recognised programme management methodology, for example Managing successful programmes (MSP)
Experience
Essential criteria
- Strong leadership skills, with a good understanding of the NHS and wider health and care system, programme management skills and knowledge obtained through experience of managing complex, cross- organisational programmes.
- Understanding of programme management principles and theory and their practical applications in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders and across a large geographic/population area
- Understanding of change management or continuous improvement principles and theory and their practical applications
