We are looking for people to join our bank of staff to work in the estates and facilities department.
The postholder will be a member of the Trust’s Facilities team and will mainly provide relief cover for the portering and postal services at Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust (PCFT). The postholder will be required to support other teams/roles in the Facilities team as needed in this relief role, which will include the catering and domestic services.
This is a multi-skilled role providing relief support within the team across in-patient and community sites. Whilst the role is based from Birch Hill, some of the postal duties will also be Trust-wide. The role will include weekend working to provide relief support as required.
Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd
The main purpose of the role is to provide relief cover predominantly for the portering and postal services across the Trust provided by the Facilities team, but also to support the domestic and catering teams as required. These services are delivered across in-patient wards, community sites and admin areas.
Portering Duties
• Delivery and collection of meal trolleys, pot trolleys and catering supplies
• Delivery and collection of clean and soiled linen
• Delivery and collection of mail
• Delivery of stores and supplies
• Removal of waste (general, clinical, confidential and food waste)
• Delivery and collection of pharmacy items, pathology samples etc.
• Patient note transfer from department to department
• Delivery of stock and non-stock items to all wards and departments
Postal Driver Duties
• To carry out an internal cross-borough postal service through the collection, sorting and delivery of cross-borough post to / from designated locations in Tameside, Bury, Oldham, Rochdale, Stockport and similar areas.
• To carry out the franking of external mail as required
• To sort internal/external mail at Trust HQ as required
• To deliver medical records/patient notes to designated locations as per a daily route
• To operate the postal vehicle in line with Trust Policy
Domestic / Catering Duties
• General cleaning and catering duties to support with relief shifts as required.

The postholder will be joining the facilities team which sits in the Capital Investment and Estates Services department at Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust, delivering all soft FM services across the Trust. The team are passionate about ensuring we provide high-quality and effective facilities services to our staff and service users. The team demonstrate and live by the Trust values and behaviours each day, and we work together as one team.

- Experience operating a satellite navigation system for route navigation when driving
