Your Role:
- Provide high-quality, evidence based psychological 1:1 and group interventions for clients.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement effective treatment plans
- Engage in regular supervision and continuous professional development
- Contribute to team meetings and training sessions
- Maintain accurate and timely client records
- Communicate effectively with clients, families and professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and young people.

- Post Graduate qualification in Evidence Based Psychological therapies for Children and Young People.

Education / Qualifications

- Qualification from CYPWP Training Course (Post Graduate Certificate or undergraduate course) or Or, an experienced and qualified graduate mental health worker with a Post Graduate Certificate in Primary Mental Health Care or equivalent
- BABCP and or BPS registered/registerable or working towards registration

- Training in nursing, social work, occupational therapy, counselling or within a psychological therapy.
- Psychology or other health related undergraduate degree.
- Psychology or other health related postgraduate degree
- BABCP accreditation
Experience

- Experience of working as a children and young person psychological wellbeing practitioner / graduate mental health worker in a primary care setting
- Experience of routine outcome monitoring
- Experience of working in the local community
- Experience of multi-agency working
Knowledge

- Demonstrates an understanding of anxiety and depression and how it may present in Primary Care
- Demonstrates a knowledge of the issues surrounding work and the impact it can have on mental health / benefits and employment systems
- Knowledge of child protection issues, safeguarding and other relevant legislation

- Knowledge of medication used in anxiety and depression and other common mental health problems
- Demonstrates an understanding for the need to use evidence based psychological therapies and how it relates to this post
Skills and Abilities

- Ability to meet agreed / specified service targets
- Ability to manage own caseload and time
- Demonstrates high standards in verbal and written communication Able to write clear reports and letters to referrers
- Excellent IT skills
- Has received training (either formal of through experience) and carried out risk assessments within scope of practice
- Able to develop good therapeutic relationships with clients
