Trosolwg o'r swydd

The post holder will work as part of the integrated healthcare services in HMP Wandsworth.

The Substance Misuse Service (SMS) provides assessment and clinical treatment for prisoners with drug and alcohol addiction mainly through opioids substitution treatment.

We work with prisoners with mainly substance addiction who present with complex and challenging needs. We are currently seeking Band 5 Substance Misuse Nurse Practitioners to support our clinical interventions. Because of the integrated nature of the SMS, and since our patients present with complex physical and mental health needs in addition substance addiction, we are keen to recruit both RGNs and RMNs. Experience of working in secure environments or within a substance misuse setting is welcomed, but is not essential for this role; what is essential is a ‘caring not judging’ attitude and willingness to learn.
