We have been working together in a Partnership between Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust and Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust for some time, with a single Chair and Chief Executive since 2021 and single Executive Team since 2022. We launched our North London Mental Health Partnership Strategy in May 2023 and in July 2023 our Boards agreed that coming together to create one new Trust is best for our service users, our staff and our local communities. Subject to final approvals, we will be formally established as one new Trust on 1 October 2024.

We are the Haringey MHST: a supportive, creative and joyful team within Haringey CAMHS.  We are looking for 3 EMHPs or CWPs to join us in doing what we love - supporting Children and Young people in the community!

 We spend our days within the diverse schools across Haringey, working hard to build the whole school approach, while always keeping in mind the unique need of each school and their students and families.

While we are a community- based team, we love to stay connected and are always ready to support each other. 

Haringey has secured additional NHS England funding to continue developing Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTs) in Schools, as part of the government’s green paper ambitions to transform mental health support in England and we are looking to appoint 3 qualified EMHPs or CWPs to continue to deliver our service.

The qualified Education and Mental Health Practitioners (EMHPs) or Children’s Wellbeing Practitioners (CWPs) will join the growing team  to support work within schools and provide support for children and adolescents with mild moderate emotional and mental health difficulties. This will be through  delivery of evidence-based 1:1 and group interventions employing CYP-IAPT principles (Children and Young Peoples Improving Access to Psychological Therapies). The post holder will develop relationships with designated mental health leads in schools, and help them develop their approaches for mental health and wellbeing in schools.

• Provide support for children and adolescents with mild moderate emotional and mental health difficulties and deliver evidence-based 1:1 and group interventions in schools
• Holistic assessment of mental health
• Work in partnership with Primary Mental Health, CAMHS, Schools and GPs
• Offer high quality brief outcome focused evidence-based practice
• Develop, support and train CWPs, EMHPs and other colleagues in evidence based, innovate practice within and outside of the organization.
• Provide support to junior colleagues under the direction of a senior colleague.

The partnership between Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust (BEH) and Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust (C&I) is going from strength to strength since it was originally established in 2021 forming the North London Mental Health Partnership.

In order to meet the needs of the new Partnership services you may be required from time to time to work at different locations to your normal place of work. This may mean that you are required to work at any location that fall under Barnet, Enfield and Harringay Trust and Camden and Islington Trust. The Trust reserves the right to require staff to work at such other places or locations as it considers reasonable and necessary on a temporary or permanent basis.
