Job overview

To develop and provide 1st and 2nd line support for the Trusts Telephony and voice 
recording platforms, whilst working with both suppliers and stakeholders to deliver a 
resilient, robust, solution for lifesaving and commercially led call taking services.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for previous experience of working in a high demanding environment with excellent communication skills and to be able to work well as part of a team.

Previous experience of networking and telephony would be a definite advantage.

Skills

Essential criteria
  • Ability to provide and present and train staff members in the usage of telephone equipment such as ACD & Voicemail
  • To assist with the writing of documentation for in house local working procedures as required.
  • Use own initiative to prioritise and resolve any urgent requests that may arise as part any authorised department moves and changes.
Desirable criteria
  • To deal with, in the first instance, requests and complaints as referred by Line Manager and Switchboard Supervisor
  • To act as stand in for the line manager, attending site and project meetings as required.
  • Hardware Telecommunication equipment configuration and general hardware management for the Trust.

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience of working within a complex environment with telecommunications network equipment
  • Significant experience of working in a telephone voice servicing and maintenance at first line Level for at least one of the following: MiTel 3300, Siemens iSDX exchanges to Level 9.0 software, MD110.
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of working with Netcall Liberty platform
  • Experience of working within multi discipline project environment

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Educated to HNC level (or equivalent) in an engineering or scientific subject
Desirable criteria
  • Qualification in customer service such as an NVQ to level 3
  • Demonstrable experience working in the telecommunications industry, preferably in a field service / technical support role
