Job overview

The NEL Primary Care Delivery Team are seeking to recruit a Delivery Assistant to work across Primary Care and the Quality Improvement team (EQUIP) to provide high quality administrative support. This is a Fixed Term/Secondment opportunity to 30.11.2024.

This is an exciting time to join the Primary Care Team periodically based at Unex Tower, Stratford, as a Delivery Assistant the postholder will have the opportunity to deliver both business as usual and a range of Primary care delivery and transformation projects which will assist the Primary Care Delivery Team to shape the future of modernisation, transformation and quality in North East London (NEL).

Main duties of the job

The post-holder will be highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to provide and coordinate administrative and secretarial services; including for example, arranging meetings, the preparation of agendas and minutes, taking appropriate follow-up action as required.  Supporting the Deputy Director of Delivery and/or Place team with the management of projects, gathering information and undertaking enquiries as and when is necessary for the primary care place team and the directorate as required.

Other duties include:

  • Maintain the various primary care information data bases
  • To collate information/data for producing reports and timely returns
  • To manage incoming and outgoing communication via the generic email boxes
  • To respond to stakeholder enquiries and direct/escalate appropriately

Education / Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Educated to NVQ level 3

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience in a healthcare environment
  • Experience of working in administration including office systems
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to respond to sudden unexpected demands
  • Clear communicator with excellent writing and data entry skills; capable of constructing and delivering clear ideas and concepts concisely and accurately for diverse audiences

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Knowledge of project principles, techniques and tools, such as Microsoft Project
  • Good knowledge of office IT systems and software e.g. Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Understanding of the public sector
  • Evidence of planning and delivering programmes and projects and services on time and to budget, adjusting resources accordingly
