Trosolwg o'r swydd

This post is open to enthusiastic clinicians currently working at band 7 who are keen to develop their leadership and supervision skills to progress to an 8a post.

You do not need to be an expert in Eating Disorders, but have a keen interest in learning more about it and wanting to work in the area. We will provide training to develop your theoretical knowledge and practice in working in this area and there are ample opportunities for reflections and skills development.

We are offering an exciting opportunity for dynamic, ambitious, and motivated Systemic & Family Psychotherapist to join West London NHS Trust CAMHS Tri-borough Eating Disorders Service.

As our Eating Disorders Team is expanding we are now recruiting further family therapists to join us. Thanks to on-going investment, a structure review and subsequent expansion of the West London CAMHS Systemic & Family Psychotherapy Team, we are extremely pleased to be able to recruit to the following new progression post which starts at band 7 and moves to band 8a on completion of the CAMHS Band 7 – Band 8a Training and Progression Pathway.

This is a band 7-band 8a progression post. Whilst in post you will be required to develop skills in advanced/specialist assessment, assessment and management of complex risk, leadership, management and supervision in line with AFT guidance, in order to progress to the 8a banding. You will be supported to develop these skills and you will be required to evidence your progress through keeping a Development Portfolio which will be reviewed regularly and will need to be signed off as complete before progressing to band 8a.

You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team (MDT) consisting of mental health nurses, medical doctors, Psychiatrist, Eating Disorders Practitioners, Dieticians, Mental Health Support Workers, Occupational Therapist and other family therapist. We are a close and supportive team with weekly MDT meetings and monthly reflective groups.

We work closely together with all our young people and their families and joint working in different ways is the norm.

As a Qualified Systemic Family Psychotherapist you will also work as an autonomous clinician to contribute to mental health assessments, specialist diagnostic assessments of children and young people with eating disorder and comorbid complex mental health presentations. The assessment process is also multi-disciplinary and you will have many opportunities to work together with the other professionals in the team
