We also provide some specialist services that are commissioned regionally, such as our medium secure services; and nationally, such as the Cassel Hospital for people with complex and severe personality disorder and our high secure services at Broadmoor Hospital.

 

Job overview

Join our dynamic Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) team as a Band 5 Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Advisor. We're seeking a passionate individual to contribute to our mission of embedding diversity and inclusion throughout the Trust.

This is a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover position offering an exciting opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team dedicated to creating a more equitable and inclusive environment for staff and patients.

Main duties of the job

Key Responsibilities

- Advance Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI): Implement strategies to embed EDI principles across the Trust, ensuring alignment with statutory duties and NHS standards.

- Project Management: Oversee the successful delivery of EDI projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to enhance the experience of diverse staff and service users.

- EDI Training and Development: Contribute to the design and delivery of comprehensive EDI training programs to raise awareness and foster a culture of inclusion.

- Policy Development and Implementation: Support the development and implementation of EDI policies that reflect the Trust's commitment to equality and diversity.

- Governance and Monitoring: Provide effective secretariat support to the Tackling Inequalities steering group and associated sub-groups, ensuring the timely completion of Equality and Inclusion Assessments (EIAs).

- Perform other duties as required to support the EDI team's objectives
