Are you an experienced Healthcare Assistant/Mental Health Support Worker seeking a unique and rewarding nursing experience? A new position has opened up at Ealing Hospital for a Band 3 Enhanced Observation Healthcare Assistant, Mental Health. Join our friendly and supportive team, where you will have the chance to work closely with dedicated professionals. We are seeking personable, and motivated individuals with exceptional communication and teamwork abilities to support our qualified staff in delivering patient-centred care and improving overall patient experience.

This role is specifically designed to provide assistance to patients requiring enhanced observation and who present with a diverse range of health issues. As a valued member of our team, you will be responsible for carrying out practical tasks with our patients, often on a one-on-one basis, under the supervision of qualified staff.

Main duties of the job

A new opportunity has arisen in the form of a band 3 Enhanced Observation Healthcare Assistant, Mental Health to work with our friendly team in the Trust. We are looking to recruit personable, flexible and motivated Healthcare Assistants with excellent communication and team working skills to support our qualified staff in the delivery of patient centred care and to improve patient experience. This new role has been designed to work with people who are in need of enhanced observation and who have a range of diverse health problems.

Person specification

Level 3 NVQ or Health and Soci

Essential criteria
  • level 3 NVQ
  • Previous experience of working as HCA
Desirable criteria
  • Previous experience of nursing patients with mental health needs.
  • Experience of working with patients with dementia

Previous experience of working

Essential criteria
  • Two years expereince working wiht mental health patients in acute settings
Desirable criteria
  • Knowledge of fundamental care needs of Dementia/mental health patients and ability to record vital signs (NEWS).
