Job overview
The Stock and Asset Management Officer IT team in delivering an effective service by supporting teams to ensure that the portfolio of stock orders and delivery requests are planned, managed and delivered effectively.
• Lead stock management process for the organisation and customers as required
• Process stock requests ensuring deadlines and delivery requirements are met
• Support the service in the appropriate allocation, registering, and asset management of procured items, including asset labelling.
• Support a resilient reliable process to manage stock levels instigating systems such as thresholds and reorder levels
• Support and inform the targeting of resources, monitoring, implementation and evaluation of the stock orders and delivery requests by providing high quality support including complex information and analysis, communications and stakeholder management
• Provide a range of administration functions as directed, including the allocation and monitoring of equipment, the receipt of deliveries and issuing of equipment to engineers and customers
• To support/assist the management and leadership team to deliver the aims and objectives of the service.
• Supporting ICT by identifying efficiency savings and providing quality goods and supplier services; suggesting changes to improve administration and effectiveness;
Main duties of the job
• Deliver a portfolio of initiatives; achieving quality outcomes and demonstrating value for money through tracking, managing and delivering agreed benefits working to tight deadlines
• Undertake complex and detailed information analysis of specific stock orders and delivery requests requiring high levels of concentration
• Ownership of warehouse capacity planning, delivering best utilisation of the available storage space
• Provide effective monitoring and tracking of risks and issues, with proactive resolution and escalation processes
• Lead stock management process for the organisation and the customers as required.
• Process stock requests ensuring deadlines and delivery requirements are met
• Support the service in the appropriate allocation, registering, and asset management of procured items
• Support a resilient reliable process to manage stock levels instigating systems such as threshold and reorder levels
• Work with members of the team and key stakeholder to investigate the causes of any variance from plan/delivery targets and contribute to the implementation of solutions
• Collate, analyse and present information helping predict future organisational and team needs against industry best practice
• Coordinate and participate in relevant meetings, reporting attendance and providing information, advice and support as required
• Collect and analyse appropriate team data and monitor the processing of data and information.

Knowledge, Training and Experience
Essential criteria
- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
- Experience working in a sock & logistics capacity in a similar role
- Comprehensive knowledge of IT systems management and development
- Experience in planning and warehouse capacity management

Essential criteria
- Works with members of the IT and procurement teams to develop performance improvement plans and to develop plans for innovation and transformation
Autonomy
Essential criteria
- Capable of working on own initiative and managing own workload, working to tight and often changing timescales
