The Ophthalmology team are looking for a full time Apprentice Admin & Clerical co-ordinator to join their established team and help support Primary Care and other administrative duties.  The successful candidate would be computer literate, able to work well under pressure, prioritise tasks and be a committed team member that strives for improvement in patient care and be proactive in service improvements.
 
You will have excellent communication skills, be committed, caring and compassionate and be able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.      Alongside the role you will complete the Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship. If you already hold this or another healthcare qualification at Level 3 or above, then you are not eligible to apply. If you do not hold the required level of Maths and English, you will also complete Functional Skills Level 2.

The busy Ophthalmology Department at BHRUT has an exciting opportunity for a full-time administrator. The role is cross-site covering our busy ophthalmology department.

This role provides high-quality patient care through dedicated administrative and clerical support and strong teamwork.  The post holder will support administrative functions relating to our patient’s care pathways including answering telephones, booking new and follow up appointments, and covering preparation of surgical notes.

Patients across north east London are benefitting from two new state of the art theatres at KGH and our Community Diagnostic Centres at Barking Community Hospital and St George’s Health and Wellbeing Hub will significantly increase the number of scans that can be carried out.

We’re looking forward to introducing an electronic patient record next year. This will mean the records of any patient visiting one of the seven hospitals run by BHRUT and Barts Health will be accessible to the clinical teams. It’ll make things easier for staff and will be better for patients.
