Job overview

We are looking for a dynamic and a highly motivated leader within Sexual Health/contraception specialty.  The post holder will be a visible nurse leader and provide day to day line management of a team of Sexual Health Nurses with support from the Operations Manager, and Clinical Lead. To be dual trained in Contraception and Sexual Health running nurse led clinics.
 
To provide clinical nurse leadership for contraception, assessment and treatment of Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs). To run independent LARC clinics including IUD/IUS.
 
In conjunction with the Operations Manager and Clinical Lead, to lead the implementation and delivery of the clinical service. To lead on fully integrating nursing teams and ensuring all staff are dual trained in Contraception and Sexual Health
 
 

Main duties of the job

The post holder will provide clinical leadership for the nursing element of the service.  To ensure that service provision is appropriate and sensitive to the needs of clients/users.

Patients across north east London are benefitting from two new state of the art theatres at KGH and our Community Diagnostic Centres at Barking Community Hospital and St George’s Health and Wellbeing Hub will significantly increase the number of scans that can be carried out.

We’re looking forward to introducing an electronic patient record next year. This will mean the records of any patient visiting one of the seven hospitals run by BHRUT and Barts Health will be accessible to the clinical teams. It’ll make things easier for staff and will be better for patients.
