1 x Full Time Senior Physiotherapy Assistant Band 3 Acute medicine 37.5 hrs per week
Physiotherapy Assistants work as part of a team and have a key role to play in the smooth running of the physiotherapy service and the rehabilitation of patients, assisting them reach their full potential and helping them get back home.
Main duties of the job
Following an induction period, the post holder will be expected to progress to managing their own patients including practising safe stair-climbing, walking practice, exercise programmes and provision/progression of walking aids. There will also be a requirement to do administration tasks, monitoring of stock and reduction of infection risk by cleaning and maintenance of some equipment. You will be an integral part of a supportive, friendly team, which includes qualified physiotherapists and other assistants.

The post would suit individuals with care experience who are looking for a career within the NHS. Qualified therapists are unlikely to be suitable for a post, as the ideal candidate will be committed to developing the role and taking it forward.
Applicants should be able to work independently and as part of a team. They will demonstrate excellent interpersonal and organisational skills and be committed to further personal and professional development.
