Job overview

This post will support the co-ordination and administration of the Business Plan delivery programme. This requires a flexible and responsive approach and provides the post-holder with an interesting variety of work within a diverse and forward-thinking team. To succeed in this role, you will need experience of providing administrative and coordination support within a complex operational environment, strong communication skills, and the ability to work flexibly in an unpredictable environment.


The role will involve supporting programme boards and project boards, which will be attended by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Non-Executive Directors (NEDs). This includes planning and servicing, diary management, production and distribution of papers, minute taking and progressing action logs.

Main duties of the job

As Delivery Programme Coordinator you will be responsible for:


•    Coordinating the delivery of programmes that are a high priority for the delivery of NICE’s business plan, including maintaining project plan trackers and action logs, monitoring risks, and providing secretariat support to key meetings
•    Providing progress reports on assignments for which they have responsibility and alerting the appropriate staff members when there are problems in meeting deadlines
•    Providing administrative and diary management support to the senior staff within the directorate 
•    Coordinating and supporting meetings relating to the Directorate
•    Gathering and analysing data and producing reports and presentation slides
•    Supporting external engagement by senior managers

The Strategy, Policy and International Directorate supports NICE’s Executive Team to define NICE’s strategy, build and execute plans to implement it, and adapt it to changing circumstances. The Delivery Unit sits in this Directorate and leads NICE’s work on planning, performance management, project management and change management. It designs and oversees the reporting and governance structures that guide the delivery of NICE’s business plan, actively appraises performance to support the Chief Executive’s management of the programme, and drives delivery and problem solving of NICE’s top priority projects.
