Job overview

The post holder will be a highly experienced and qualified Critical Care nurse educator, with experience of teaching and assessing on academic courses. They will work as part of the course team to ensure successful delivery of the NCL+ Intensive Care Qualification in Specialism.

Main duties of the job

They will use their critical care expertise and educational skills to assist with development of online educational resources, deliver online and face-to-face teaching, mark academic assessments and provide administrative support for the course.

The Royal Free combines globally recognised clinical expertise with local and friendly hospital care to represent the best in NHS treatment. It is a leading site for the training of doctors, nurses, midwives and professions allied to medicine.

The Royal Free is delivering a blended learning Intensive Care Qualification in Specialism funded by NHSE until the Sep 2025 intake. The course meets CC3N standards and is academically accredited with Middlesex University. It’s currently delivered by a team of four part-time Critical Care educators and we would like to expand the team.

This post will run from around August 2024 (to be discussed) for one year, with the possibility of extension.
