The North West London Borough Clinical Leads for Clinical Effectiveness have a critical role within the Integrated Care System. The post holder will lead a systematic evidence-based approach to quality improvement within a NWL borough, to help to improve health outcomes for local residents. They will work in close partnership with the NWL Clinical Lead for Clinical Effectiveness and with NWL and borough-based partnerships, also supporting wider NWL transformation.
Building on successful models already established in North West London boroughs and elsewhere, the programme will bring population health management and learning together, to form the basis for personal, organisational and system development, and continuous improvement in outcomes.
This role requires strong, strategic leadership skills, critical reasoning, and numeracy, with the experience of stewardship of significant public funds, good governance and delivering impactful public outcomes.

NHS North West London Integrated Care Board (NHS NWL ICB) is a statutory body responsible for planning and allocating health and care resources to improve the lives of people in eight boroughs across North West London: Brent, Ealing, Hammersmith and Fulham, Harrow, Hillingdon, Hounslow, Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and Westminster.

Qualifications/ Training
Essential criteria
- Practising primary care clinician in North West London.
- Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD).
- If an applicant is non-UK trained, they will be required to show evidence of UK approved training

- Relevant clinical qualification
Knowledge Training and Experience
Essential criteria
- Relevant clinical experience in primary care and leadership.
- Experience of building productive and collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, working creatively toward shared goals.
- Demonstrable track record of delivery in service and education.
- Ability to foster quality improvement within clinical practice.
Desirable criteria
- Experience of project work focusing on benefits realisation and supporting transformational change.
- Experience in liaising with NHS trusts, community organisations, medical schools and other partners and providers in leadership roles.
- Experience of clinical and educational leadership and innovation, including managing a multi-professional team.
- Trained and experienced in recruitment, selection and Equality and Diversity in the last 3 years.
- Experience of leading on clinical recruitment campaigns.
- Awareness and understanding of the healthcare landscape in North West London and local knowledge of specific borough
- Good professional relationships at place level and knowledge of the local borough

Applicant requirements
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
