Job overview
We are looking to recruit to a Team Leader and validator for busy Admissions department at Whipps Cross Hospital.
To provide support to Scheduling Delivery Manager and to cover when delivery manager is annual leave and manager a team of schedulers.
The postholder will lead a team of schedulers to ensure efficient and effective systems of work are carried out.
To go Daily Ops meeting and theatre planning meeting.
To run PTL meeting and manage day to day and managing staff members
Reporting to the Scheduling Delivery Manager and will be versed in RTT 18 weeks policies and processes. This post will be playing an important role in the co-coordinating of patients through their clinical pathway in line with the 18 weeks Program.
You will be supporting the Service’s monthly Clinical Governance and mortality meetings, by ensuring there is dedicated administrative support to the meeting. Including preparation, co-ordination of documentation and follow-up of all administrative actions.
You will be expected to work together with the administrative and clinical teams to provide high quality care for patients within all specialties.
The ability to forge close working relationships with Hospital administration staff, Clinical staff and other colleagues is essential to the post. A working knowledge of excel and other Microsoft programs is essential as is the experience of electronic patient record systems.
Main duties of the job
The purpose of this post is to actively manage the administrative processes of patient pathways and 18-week target, ensuring a smooth and efficient service for patients throughout their treatment by the Trust. Also, to ensure and participate in providing an effective administration service to the multidisciplinary team.
To ensure provision of comprehensive and efficient booking and scheduling services for patients, that adhere to the Trusts Access policy with national and local access targets.
The role requires the post holder to develop efficient and effective systems of work to ensure that patients experience good communication, choice, and a personal and responsive service.
To provide a consistent approach across the trust, standard operating procedures (SOP) will describe how the functions of this role will be carried out along with the timescales that will be adhered to.

Although this position is a 12 months fixed-term contract, the actual contract duration will be adjusted to account for the time taken to advertise the post, complete the hiring process, and finalise pre-employment checks. This means the contract will begin when the candidate starts the role and may be slightly shorter than 12 months.
